My interest in learning Japanese is threefold: to be able to enjoy Japanese media (Anime) in the original language, to be able to visit Japan for an extended vacation and to experience the culture in my own way, and for potential future business opportunities .
I am a complete beginner and have never been taught/learne d Japanese.
I would like to learn conversationa l, spoken Japanese. I understand that written can be much more difficult and time consuming.
The time dedicated to learning the language is something I'm still determining. I would like to start off about one fairly long lesson per week and possibly move up from there, depending on time available and/or progress being made. I understand it will not come quickly and I am dedicated to eventually learn about the language (not expert level) however long it may take.
I am looking for hands-on teaching, excellent knowledge of the language and teaching methods, professional demeanor, and a solid understanding of what it would take to reach my goals detailed above.

My husband is a Thai. We are planning to move to Thailand next Fall. My husband is busy at work and is not professional for teaching Thai. I need to learn Thai seriously. I am a beginner. I am learning Mandarin, first because it is a beautiful language and second because I want to study abroad next year. I have taken Chinese for almost a year and a half now.
