My reason for wanting to learn Russian is I have traveled to Ukraine and Moldova eight times and always needed a translator. I would like to go there again and not need a translator or use one during a limited amount of time.
I know a few words of Russian. However, I am not 100% certain my pronunciation is correct. I am a beginner. I cannot read or write any Russian and cannot carry on a conversation. I need help from a beginner's level. I have never taken a language lesson in the past. The only language I know is English.
I should be able to take one hour of lessons once every two weeks during the first couple of months and then study between lessons. After that, I would like to take one lesson each week, if time allows. I do not lack motivation, but free time is sometimes very tight.
I understand Russian is a difficult language to learn, so I would like my teacher to be patient and polite, as I am, while at the same time be able to explain things in a manner I will be able to understand and comprehend. I would prefer a woman teacher.

I want to learn German because it is a language I have always been fascinated with, and I'm going to Germany next year so I felt it would be helpful if I knew at least a little bit. I only know simple phrases and a few words, so I guess I would say that I'm a beginner. I need the most help with conversation, because I never feel like I'm pronouncing something correctly.
