My name is Sandy. I'm looking for some in person/group or live chat Chinese lessons. I've tried listening CDs and Chinese Pod, but they both have the same drawback: no feedback on pronunciation and no one to practice conversing with.
I'm still at a beginner level and find it frustrating. When I watch youtube.com with native speakers, I'm able to catch only a few words in an entire video. I think feedback and actual conversation practice would help greatly (and is how I learned my first foreign language - French).
I want to learn Chinese mostly because a member of my church is a missionary in Tianjin. She teaches English to Chinese youth. I hope to someday be able to go on a mission trip there to help her out. I am also interested in learning to write Chinese characters as I learn to speak.
I am looking for a teacher in the Gwinnett area, Lawrenceville /Grayson/Snell ville area would be ideal.

Hi my name is Dinari. As you can already guess I would like to learn Arabic starting at a beggining level. I would like to learn this language and a few others for various of reasons. Yes and if you could help me improve my grammer skills in english that would be a plus. I get by with what I know and some of the education. Example: sometimes explaining events or an ideal in a linear manner, ect. Im not sure how longs it takes to really learn Arabic... I do have other things going on. I wonder how much time I need to spend to learn a language and be proficient at it in one year to two years time. In the lessons I like to start from scract. Like learning the alphabet, pronouciation , numbers, reading, writing, and communicating . From beginning to advance. I confident that you will know how to set this up and give guidelines. Please get back to me as soon as you can when it is somewhat convinent.

I would be a beginner, would like private classes to start .. long story. Actual native language was french but at 5 came to the states and in learning english (and spending 10 years learning to sound like an american) have lost all my french and spanish including accent.
