We adopted a from China who is now in kindergarten. Our ultimate desire is for her to be fluent in her native language. She was adopted at age 1 so has no Chinese language background due to her early adoption. She did, however, begin to take Chinese classes as part of her curriculum at New Life Academy of Excellence (a Gwinnett Co. charter school). We recently transferred her to the Gwinnett School in our area. We strongly desire for her to continue to build on her beginning foundation. I have zero experience with Arabic. I want to learn the language before spending a semester studying in Doha, Qatar. I need improvement in all areas, both speaking and reading.
