I'm a beginner... i know how to somewhat understand Tagalog (illocano) but i don't know how to fluently speak it nor write. The reason i am learning is to keep my heritage alive. I need improvement in all areas! I'm so dedicated to even go to the Philippines for a month or so to learn the native language. The qualities i am looking for is someone who is as dedicated to teaching me as i am to understanding the language.

I took a 6-week long Modern Standard Arabic Intensive course at UT-Austin back in the summer of 1993. I spent the summer of 1994 in South Jordan doing research for my Masters in Anthropology at SMU. At the time I left Jordan, I was told by locals (in Amman)that my Arabic was passable.
I haven't kept up with it, however, and would like to 'refresh' my conversationa l Arabic. I still have my old textbook and audiotapes from the course at UT. I would like to have some structured lessons, however, to be able get back into primarily conversationa l Arabic, but also some capability to read and write it again.
I can dedicate ~3-5 hrs a week for lessons and at least an hour a day for study.
