I am a beginner in Dutch. Although my mom speaks it, i have no idea how to use the languange. I do understand the language sometimes (VERY PASIVE). I want to learn foreign languages for self-improvem ent and satisfaction. I love foreign languages and if I could, i would love to learn other languages such as French, Deutsch and spanish. I need to learn spoken and written Dutsch with intensive lessons with meetings that ranges from 2 or 3 times per week. I am basically looking for a patient, gentle and easy going teacher that loves the language as much as i do.

I am looking for a Mandarin Chinese tutor for my 10 year old son. He would be a beginner to the language. He is interested in learning a foreign language, and Chinese appeals to him because he is interested in Asian cultures and he also likes the Chinese writing characters.
I would prefer a tutor with experience teaching children who works within reasonable driving distance from our home. I am also hoping you can provide or recommend appropriate materials for home study that will keep a 10 year old boy's attention.

I am a student at Evergreen State college in Olympia, WA, and I am hoping to pursue an individual contract study abroad program in Iran in the spring or next fall. I would like to learn enough Farsi before I embark on my journey so I will be able to get by in Iran. I am also interested in taking more advanced classes upon arrival. I am half Iranian and grew up hearing the language a little bit but I cannot speak or understand it at all.
