I am contacting you concerning my son, David. We recently returned from a 2 wk vacation in Japan and he is very interested in learning the language. His father is interested also, but I would prefer to concentrate on lessons for David at the moment. I don't believe my husband will have the time to give the language his full attention. My son is 4th generation Japanese/Amer ican. His father was not taught Japanese in the home so our son feels that he wants to regain his rightful language. He is currently taking Spanish and Hebrew language classes. Will that cause a problem? David is a freshman in High School and would like to speak and write Japanese. He would be a beginner. I would like to learn to speak Persian (Farsi). I am american and my husband is from Laghman, Afghanistan and I would like to learn to speak and understand Farsi better. I speak no Romanian. I used to be fluent in French but my ability to carry on a conversation in French is now limited.
I intend to visit Romania during mid-April and would like to understand basic pronunciation as well as know a few phrases of the language; enough to ask basic questions, understand the menus, etc. and to generally indicate that I am interested in the country.
I would be willing to commit to one (1) tutoring session per week for the months of February and March. I do not expect miracles.

I want to learn this language because my husband is Romanian and my desire is to be able to communicate with his mother. She does not speak English at all. I feel like my pronunciation is decent, but need to strengthen my grammar and conversation skills.I am currently a high school student, but feel i have a total of 10 hrs. a week to dedicate to learning Spanish.
