I studied French for 5 years in junior and high schools. I am 24 now, and desire to place out of the beginning levels of French at the University of Houston. I would need to work on grammar, vocabulary, translation, and writing. I have begun working on my own in workbooks, but would like to have a bit of guidance and monitoring of my progress and additional practice/exer cises.
I am thinking perhaps I would check in with a teacher once a week and go over work and maybe discuss a new lesson or problem areas. Perhaps even receive assignments or vocabulary work for the next week. I am also open to suggestions the tutor might have about best approaching self-study.

I am the parent of an adopted Ukrainian 12 year old girl who will need intensive English tutoring for 2-3 months beginning mid August. She speaks both Russian and Ukrainian and has studied English for the past year in Ukraine. Would prefer tutor comes to home, but would consider other arrangements also.
