I am a pure beginner, wanting to learn Mandarin Chinese both for my own personal interest and also so I will be able to use the language to travel to China or Taiwan and teach English, since that is what I would like to do in the future. I want to dedicate significant time to my lessons, on the order of daily lessons at one to two hours per day, and need a teacher who is willing to work with me on a payment arrangement which is convenient and mutually agreeable since I would be dedicating so much time to my lessons. I have previous foreign language education, so I am familiar with the process, but not with an Asian language or particularly not with a tonal language. I would like to focus primarily on the spoken language.

I would like to learn Amharic because in the near future I plan to visit, and ultimately relocate to Ethiopia. I am at a beginners level and very motivated! For the last few months I have studied personally but found that help is needed. I cannot reach the level of proficiency needed alone. I work from home, therefore I can dedicate full time hours to my lessons. I am seeking an instructor with patience and knowledge of the history and customs of Ethiopia. I would like to gain as much knowledge as possible before leaving my home country.
