I had a nanny from Tokyo when I was very little who would teach me Japanese while babysitting me, she left while I was still at a young age to pursue college and I dont remember any of it. I've decided I'd like to enter into the JET Programme as a CIR and I need fluency in the Japanese langauge, I'd also like to major in Japanese and Japanese literature, I've also just felt this connection with Japanese since it would have been my second language had my nanny of stayed. I'm really determined to have Japanese become my second language and to really learn about Japanese culture.

I want to learn Greek so I can converse with my grandparents who live in Greece. It has always been hard for me to talk with them on the phone as well as when I visit them in the summer. I get very frustrated that I can't have proper conversations with not only them, but my aunt, uncle and friends who live in Greece. I would say my proficiency level is around intermediate. I can get around using basic words, however I can't say what i want to say completely, I am always missing that major part. I need improvement on grammar and conversation the most. I just want to be able to talk to everybody without a problem. I am looking to dedicate around an two hours a week until the summer begins. Qualities I would like in my teacher would be a sense of humor, easy to talk to, patient, and someone who is relaxed.

I would like to learn Vietnamese. I was born in Vietnam but lived most of my life 'americanized ' when I moved here. Life moved fast and then I forgot my language. I would like to learn my language to reconnect to my heritage.

I've lived in Seoul for over a year, so I do speak a little. I can (slowly) read & write in Korean.
