Hello--I am trying to locate a sign language teacher for our daughter, age 16. She is dyslexic and has chosen to learn sign language for her language requirement in school. The school has approved this. The University Extension department has agreed to offer her accreditation as long as the teacher qualifies. We would like to do this in the summer for about 6 weeks. It could be daily. Preferably home study but would consider a place close by if it were necessary. Please let me know if you have someone who would qualify for this job.

I'm learning Japanese to help with my career and to continue learning about the Japanese culture, despite being a beginner in the language. I personally feel I need to improve in all aspects of the Japanese language, as I don't want to miss basic points I might not know yet. I'm not sure how much time I'd put in, its more how much time I can take out of day for the lessons, as I participate in after school activities that could cause problems in the scheduling. The main qualities I'd like to have my teacher to have lots of experience, a serious passion for the language, and a large understanding of how I have to work the lessons around my main priorities.

I have been interested in learning Japanese since I was young. I like the language and the culture. I primarily want to learn it for myself, but if I am able to use it towards a career in the future that would be great too. My proficiency level is beginner. I have memorized just the Hiragana and Katakana so far. I would like to dedicate 2-3 days a week (or more) toward the language.
