I will have taken 3 quarters of Arabic at University. I am learning arabic because i think it is a beatiful and useful language. i love all of my arabic classes at college and i just want to become really fluent. i basically need improvement in all aspects of arabic- possibly the most in conversationa l. i am willing to dedicate a lot of time to arabic. i want an instructor who is patient and enthusiastic and willing to put up with a student who may initially 'slaughter' the language-but i love it and i am determined to return to college in the fall with a much better grasp of the language. Right now i have a decent foundation in vocab, writing, etc. If I do not study during the summer I fear that in the fall I will forget everything.

I am a beginner who will be visiting Vietnam later this year. Many of my friends where I live are also from Vietnam so I'd like to learn to try and talk with them in their native language. I would like to spend as much time as possible immersing myself into the language, depending on my availability and the instructor's availability. I spend alot of time on the computer and have high speed internet access so can setup videoconferen cing if needed.

I currently have no French language skills. My interests are both personal and business related. My job entails 2 to 3 trips a year to Europe and I currently have business contacts with a French company. I've developed a friendship with a couple of people in prior business dealings and although they speak fluent English I would like to show them respect and try to communicate to them in their native language.
My main focus is conversationa l French, however it's also important to me to be able to read French.
As for what qualities I'm looking for in a teacher, the only expectation I have it that someone that can teach me in a way that I can learn.
