My name is Chuck. I am interested in learning Mandarin Chinese. My interest in learning this language is basically for business reasons. At present I have no proficiency in Chinese of any dialect. I am moving to Beijing at the beginning of May and I want to teach English when I get there. I would like to be able to speak and understand Mandarin Chinese so that I can get the most out of interacting with the people and learning the culture while I am in China. Also, when I return to America, I would like to be able to understand Chinese well enough to use it toward advancing my career in the States.
At this point I do not know any Mandarin Chinese at all. I would like to dedicate 2 or 3 hours a day to learning Chinese with the tutor. I need a teacher who is confident,con sistent, patient and effective at teaching.

I would like for my six year old son to begin learning Mandarin Chinese. I prefer he join a small group of children for lessons two to three times a week for at least one hour each. Individual lessons may also work.
