I am a mother of 3 and my family and I are returning from an expat assignment in Shanghai, China. The children and I are proficient in Mandarin and would like to continue our learning. I am looking for a teacher that can come to our home once a week and give a group lesson to my children and me, most likely in the evening. We can all communicate in Mandarin rather well, but I do not want my children to lose their language abilities.

I have always, always wanted to learn how to speak French. Sadly, in middle school when I was finally able to take a foreign language, French was not available and so I took Spanish for 3 years. I also lived in Costa Rica for a year and I was quite good with my conversationa l Spanish, but as I have not used it for almost 4 years, I have forgotten even the most basic of words.
I do feel that I do have a grasp for what is required when learning another language and so I feel that it is time to attempt French. I have no experience with French and at some point in my life I would like to become fluent. I realize that this takes a long time and a lot of commitment and that is why I am checking on the cost and time commitment I need to put into learning.
I am definitely a true beginner and I really want to, some day, feel confident in speaking French.

My daughter Alexandra lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with her Mom. She speaks English and French and would like to learn Polish to be able to speak with the Polish part of the family.
