I am learning Tagalog, because that is where my mother is from I have always wanted to learn Tagalog. Beginner. I want to learn enough that I will be able to carry a conversation with someone and understand when people talk to me in Tagalog and I can respond back. I am thinking of moving out of the country and Tagalog would be very beneficial to me. I would like to dedicate an hour to having a one on one class and then additional outside time to practice on my own. I look for a teacher that will have a simple way of learning things and one who will teach me what I need to know to get around in the 'real world'.

The reason I want to learn Russian is I am fascinated with Russia and I have a desire to read classical Russian Literature. My Proficiency Level is Beginner so of course that leaves a large area of improvement needed. I am willing to dedicate 2hr/day of study time. I have always been interested in cultures and languages. Luckly, over this summer of 2010, I will study abroad in St. Petersburg. Therefore, I wish to learn some Russian before going. While in Russia I will take two classes: Russian language and Russian culture.

I want to learn Thai because I watch a lot of Thai drama and I would like to know what they are saying. I am just a beginner. I need to improve on everything. As far as times go, I am willing to do what I can. A fun teacher who care and willing to work with me every step of the way.

These lessons are actually for my daughter who is twelve years old. She is very interested in Anime drawing which has it's roots in Japan.(so she tells me). She has been asking for lessons for a year now. she is a beginer, with no previous expierence.
I would look at one perhaps two lessons a week. I know she wants to learn to speak and write. My daughter is a very sweet, gentle person, and I would look for a teacher that has expierence with younger learners.
She is located in Eugene,Oregon right now, but will be moving to Chicago at the end of this semester.
