I have always wanted to learn japanese, I am a big fan of anything japanese and have been collecting anime and manga since I was twelve. I now have to chance to go to japan by april or may of next year for certain and I hope to learn enough of the japanese language to speak and understand anyone I'm talking to. I just wish to learn the language, the writing such as katakana and kanji I would prefer to learn another time. I am a beginner but I can pronouce any japanese word I see when it's written in english, and know a few words by heart. A quality that I am looking for in my teacher would be that they have patient with me and help me to achieve my goal. As for time needed I wouldn't know how much time I need until my level can really be assessed.

I plan to visit Japan next year. I bought, about 4 months, some japanese books. Now I decided to really be strong in my studies.I need improve in grammar, conversation and whatever the teacher has to give for my improvement. I want to dedicate at least 3 hours a day. I am an actor doing a film in which I have to speak some Swahili. I would like to run through the lines with a Swahili speaker to make sure my pronunciation is correct.
I am happy to pay $ 30 for the 30 to 40 minute this should take. I would video conference via SKYPE or some other means o talk with the instructor and e-mail the 1 page of dialogue before hand.

My son just turned 3, and he is soaking up information like a sponge. I am looking for a class or tutoring to teach him Spanish. I wanted to work with Mariana Diaz, who teaches by conversation rather than vocabulary and grammar, and it sounded like a great approach. But Mariana is returning to Argentina, so I am back to square one. I am looking for someone experienced in teaching pre-k Spanish to children, which I imagine is very difficult to do with their very short attention spans and only wanting to do what they think is fun.
