Salutations. My name is Sasha Jones and I have a great deal of interest in sign language. While growing up my mother had a friend who would use sign language to communicate with her due to his lack in hearing capability. I was never told as to why he could not hear nevertheless it struck an interest in learing sign language for me. I desire to learn as much as possible. My passion is strengthened by the possibilty that I could aquire a friend who would enjoy to sign with me and have respect for someone who took the time to learn how to speak with them. I hope to find my educator to be patient, reliable, and kind. I would like for them to speak to me as an adult not an incompitant child (for I have had a few adults try to do so). I hope for the education and experience to be pleasnt and joyful. I will have at most 2 hours a day to contribute to my teaching and my own time for practice. I am determined and respectful of any opportunity to fulfill my endeavor. Thank you.

I am learning Arabic to further my research abilities in the field of international public health. I am an advanced learner, having gone through Al-Kitaab volumes 1 and 2, with some native proficiency in Levantine Arabic. I would like to improve my general proficiency in spoken and written Modern Standard Arabic. I can dedicate no more than 5 hours a week to instruction. I am looking for a teacher who is well-versed with the Al-Kitaab series, can teach at an intensive pace and can incorporate advanced reading materials and writing exercises into lessons.

Hello,
My name is Krista and I'm a full-time college student working part-time in Sacramento. I really would like to accelerate learning Hindi and to learn from someone who has time to teach me in a classroom setting.
My boyfriend is from Gujarat and I would love to be able to speak Hindi with him and his family. It's really important for me to become fluent because it is so important to his parents that his culture and lifestyle remain a large part of his life. By learning to speak Hindi I can in some ways assure his parents how important his culture is to me and that I want to make it an important part of our life together too!
At this point I am a complete beginner and we would need to start out with the basics in every area. I would like to work with the teacher once a week for maybe an hour or two.
I hope that my teacher will have actual classroom experience in teaching the subject and working with english-speak ing students.
