I am currently interacting with many native Punjabi speakers at my job and I would like to learn conversationa l Punjabi as to better communicate with these youth. I would like to learn Serbian due to the fact my family lives in Serbia and although they speak English I would also like to communicate with them in Serbian.
I am a beginner!
I am interested in dedicating enough time to become relatively proficient.
I would like my teacher to be patient because I do not believe I pick up languages easily. I would also like my teacher to be able to suggest interesting ways to practice what I have learned outside of our lessons.

Two years ago I had the opportunity to visit Thailand with a group of 13 other awesome American teens, and I absolutely fell in love with the language and the people. While I was in Thailand, I did a two week long host stay and I felt such a strong connection to my host family, but I couldn't really speak to them because of the language barrier which bummed me out, because no matter how much they tried to include me in their lives, I still felt like a bit of an outsider because we couldn't speak to each other.
So I started teaching myself Thai when I got back to America by listening to and singing Thai songs on my youtube. I recently wrote one in Thai which went viral in Thailand, and now I have thousands of people that want me to succeed in learning Thai, and I'm going to try as hard as I can for them, my host family, and myself :)
