I know many one or two works of Japanese, so I believe it's safe to say I'm a beginner. I am interested in learning the language for a number of reasons. A lot has to do with the field I'm getting into. There are many companies I would love to work for, and a lot of them it's good to know Japanese. Besides for career reasons, I've always wanted to visit, possibly live in Japan and I do not believe one should choose to live anywhere where they do not know the language. I love Japanese music, movies, anime, video games and think it would be an even better experience to read/watch/pl ay them with understanding the language. It's a beautiful language to listen to and even look at.
I am currently in school for Digital Media as a full time student, so I would have to schedule my lessons around that. I'm one of the many poor college students, so I do not have a lot of money to invest in lessons so I was hoping to find a teacher fluent in the language that simply has a love to teach it ...specially at a low price if any price at all. Clearly I'd need someone with a lot of patiences with my schedule and my speed of learning. I think I pick up things quickly but others may not. I also have someone else who is interested in learning with me and are in the same boat as I am. So possibly a teacher who can handle more than one student. If not that's fine though. Also, I need someone near where I live and go to school, otherwise it would be very hard to travel.

Hello.
My name is Cherie Adams. I am seeking a Japanese tutor. I have studied Japanese in college and I lived in Japan 4 years ago, for three years. I am interested in conversation and studying written Japanese. Since coming back to the U.S., my Japanese skills have lapsed. I would like to study once/week in person if possible. Qualities which I would like in a teacher are flexibilty, patience, and a kind personality. As far as lessons, I would like them to incorporate some reading, but mostly speaking.
