Please help, I've bought books, AUDIO CD's, Tapes, Dictionary's, Phrasebooks.. . but it's tough trying to teach yourself a new language.
I know what you are thinkink 'just let your wife help you', well yes that is possible but not at the moment. We are still going through the immigration process so we are not together. Soon though.... Well hope you can help!

I have friends in Sweden and I am moving there next year. I am a beginner who really wants to learn Swedish before I leave. I will dedicate as much time as I can because learning Swedish is something that I really want to do. Would like to learn Russian, beginner to intermediate level now; never had any formal classroom training but have been studying with friends and family for three years. Husband's family came Odessa, Ukraine in 1979, and all speak Russian. Would like to expand my knowledge of the language, but get very nervous and frustrated when speaking with his family, as I need to understand grammar and they cannot explain it well. I am a native English speaker and fluent in Spanish, butso far have found Russian difficult.
