After returning from a trip to Portugal and Spain I felt the need to learn Portuguese. Before the trip I had never been exposed to the language or culture.
I am beginner to the language in every sense. Daily conversation is my goal so I need help with vocabulary and grammar.
Right now the easiest way for me to learn would be via the computer with e-mails and video chat. These I can do almost every day. I am able to fit one (1) in person class a week to my schedule. That class would not have to be one on one, with a group is fine and maybe more helpful.
I have no real knowledge of the language or culture so my teacher would need to be a little patient in the beginning. I would like for my teacher to let me know right from the start what I need to know and in what order we can achieve that. Like I mentioned, basic daily conversation is my goal. I would like to return to Portugal one day and I would like to make the language a large part of my life.

I have taken 3 years of Spanish from High School, however have lost a lot of my proficiency.
I need assistance with verb tenses, vocabulary, & feel comfortable in conversation.
I would consider my level to be Beginner-Inte rmediate.
I 'm fairly busy with work, and would like to prioritize 1-2 days a week to learn Spanish. Depending upon the time of the month, I might not have any time to study in a week.
No particular qualities I am seeking for a teacher. I am serious about learning this language better than I knew before.

I am a beginner who whishes to learn how to speak, write and read japanese fluently. The reason for this is because I am a Kendo practitioner and I wish to go to Japan to test for my Nidan. I will be testing for my shodan in February of this year so and plan to go to Japan to test for Nidan. I am looking for a teacher who knows the language well enough to take me to the level that I wish. I do not wish to remain a beginner for ever or learn just enough to get by. I want to advance and become fluent in the language. As you can see above I already speak four other languages so learning a new language comes pretty easy to me.

I am a beginner, with no previous education on German. I have many german friends and neighbor and I would like to try to communicate with them in their native language. In addition, I plan to visit Germany, and contemplate moving there, but want to see if I can learn at least some basics of the language first. I would like to learn live, in person, and think I could coordinate schedule for a couple hours each week. In addition, I think I could independently work on some on my own/or via email lessons. Hello. I am seeking a personal tutor for the following languages: Spanish(inter mediate), French(interm ediate), Chinese(begin ner), and Arabic(beginn er). I am looking to develop both my conversationa l skills as well as my grammatical understanding of these languages. I would like to dedicate up to 5 hours per week for tuition.
