Hej! My name is Nathan and I have spent the last two months of this summer in Stockholm. I absolutley loved it and I picked up a few words here and there but would really like to learn the entire language and be able to converse with someone. I was there working for my parents who own a company that is based in Sweden. I am thinking of traveling to China sometime in 2006 and would like to learn the language to some degree before this trip. Above and beyond that I think it would be a good idea to learn this language due to China's growth and expected growth.
I do not know which, (Mandarin, Cantonese, etc) would be better to start with.

Hello, We have adopted 2 children from Russia a 1 yr old and a 5 yr old. We very much want to provide them with the ability to keep thir native language and become bilangual, however my husband and I do not speak Russian. I am a beginner, I work overseas and my next job is in china. I have 2 months vacation after completing the job I'm on before going back overseas. My daughter lives in las vegas, so I thought I might stay and visit and go to school. I will be arriving las vegas around August 17. I speak fairly well spanish and have been a supervisor in my field for 20 years. I know what words besides normal conversation will be useful to me in my profession.
