I am a Portuguese native speaker (Brazilian) and will be in Orlando from 29.12.12 to 07.01.13. I am looking for a tutor/teacher to conduct English classes with me everyday of my stay, for about 3 to 5 hours/day. The classes can be conducted at the lobby of the hotel I will be staying (Rose Inn on International Dr), the local library or any other location of the tutor's choice. My level is the beginner and I would like to focus on conversation skills. The purpose of these classes is to improve my English regarding traveling. I want to be able to keep a conversation with hotel front desk people during check in, buy things at stores, order food in restaurants, etc.

I would like to resume my Mandarin Chinese study with Mandarin Chinese teacher six hours a wee plus self study time. Between September 2011 and August 2012 I lived in Beijing, China and spent 4 months at a 30 hour a week intensive language program at Beijing Language and Culture University. I also took Mandarin language lessons at Bellevue College and Portland State University intermittentl y between 2008-2010. I would like to start lessons again in January to increase my language skills. I eventually would like to become fluent, I know that will take many years, especially if I do not move back to China in the near future. I have some basic speaking, reading, and writing skills. I would like to build proficiency and professionali m in all areas. I am excited to learn and find Chinese to be a beautiful and important language to know in a deep way. I would calculate that my current skill level is between beginner and intermediate. I look forward to connecting with a Chinese teacher soon:).
