I have never taken Spanish. I am a journalist and traveler. I prefer to have a teacher who is from Central or South America. Specfically Mexico since my home is in Arizona. I am trying to learn Portuguese because my boyfriend is Brazilian and eventually I would like to move to Brazil. However, I do not have any experience in speaking Portuguese other than the very basics. I need improvements in all areas. Perhaps it would be great to start with grammer? I would like to set to meet with my teacher 2 times a week with some sort of course schedule if possible. It does not have to be formal, but I would like some direction (what to read out of the tutoring sessions, etc). For my teacher, I would like them to be patient with me. It's even hard for me to remember things in everyday life, so I may forget easily.
