My mother is Iranian, born in Tehran, Iran. When I was little, she was busy learning English and didn't speak to me very much in Farsi, so I only learned a few phrases. I would like to be able to hold conversations with her and her Iranian friends in farsi. I will be visiting my mom at the end of the month and would love to do 2-3 two-hour sessions per week, starting as soon as possible.

I am an intermediate arabic speaker (I studied 4 years of Arabic at the University of Pittsburgh and I lived in Amman, Jordan for one year studying Arabic at the University of Jordan). I am learning Arabic for pleasure as well as career advancement. I need improvement in grammar and formal conversation. I speak colloquial Jordanian well. I would like to have lessons at least once a week for at least an hour. I would like my teacher to be strict and to force me to speak Arabic. I will not learn, obviously, if my teacher continously reverts to teaching me in English.
